Just returned from New Zealand where I won the Oceania Sumo Championships in middle weight.
It’s very satisfying when you accept a challenge, and by using all your ability and intellect deliver your best efforts every day leading up to a competition where you have to put your skills and development to the test in a “Reckoning”.
When you find success it’s very satisfying. I Made a lot of new friends and the championships was a great experience I think for everyone. I managed to lose 12.05kg in just 20 days leading into the competition to make middle weight.
The Celebrations that followed involved a lot of good food in good company.
what I love about Sumo is that it is a sport that teaches respect for each other as competitors. Sledging and showing self praise for victory in competition is looked very much down apon.
